little more green than the image shows, but that's the nature of turquoise...

This piece has been the most difficult to photograph that I have had...
never seem to be able to get an image which shows what I see when looking at it...
the details help some, but it's heart remains elusive through the camera...
I can easily make a smooth surface piece jump off the page,
but these convoluted textural surfaces remain difficult to capture...

Lupine season

It's Lupine season here in Maine
the roadsides and fields are filled with these beautiful plants
it's well worth a trip just to see them...
