Round Waterfall Platter
Waterfall Platter
21in.W...
juts out from wall 4in.at top
juts out from wall 6in. at bottom
$1,800
has wall hanger...
this platter is very difficult to photograph well... I'm hoping the details help...
it was fired near the chimney of the kiln standing up on it's rim...
it slumped with the high heat
and "buckled " a bit at the bottom forming a ledge
where the glaze collected and glassified...one can feel the washboard effect of the glaze runs and see many suspended cooling crystals in the surface as light changes in the room...
the glass pool in the bottom of the "waterfall" is the result of a Shino glaze overfluxed with wood ash... this is a real beauty!
