Thoughts on plates
different thought on plates...
I love the "river" effect of pouring glaze over the open surface
there is movement, randomness and an easy form of texture,
here with just a hint of decoration... restrained decoration...
we'll see soon how this works
this majolica glaze is pesky, but they're in the kiln now!

Rock Caddy w/ Lichen...
I'm thinking these are really beginning to have the surface quality of the thermal vents
which inspired all this raw volcanic work of mine
or perhaps a geyser's mineral encrustation surrounding it's vent...
they're awfully close if not there already...
celebration is in order!

Plates
from the first load in a larger kiln...
this test has left me with more questions than answers...
I wanted the pouring of the glaze to be visible beneath the lines, forming a field of linear variation in density over glaze variation of different density... think that's here... but still wondering about this?????? and of course there are those pesky smudges...
more tests...
