No... fall is not here yet, not quite...
though the signal trees show the signs of it's coming
but the sunlight in early morning
creates a clear image of the change,
just around the corner...

Shelf Drippings on a Horizontal Serving Tray
the tray, made of thick porcelain, splintered and cracked quite a bit
it was after all about 1and 1/2 inches thick...
I get to use it at home as the cracks haven't caused it to split at all...

from time to time the urge to return to painting strikes,
this time it is fairly intense and pressing...
as I assemble the necessary ingredients to begin
I thought it time to order some new photo paper and revisit some of the older ones...
I carried these around to shows for years when I was making them
with little luck in the sales dept.
maybe they will be helped by the passage of time, I don't know
I may have been crazy then, might be now...
who knows?
I'll post some from time to time as this unfolds...

Bread and Puppet

during our weekend, visiting Karen and Ann in Vermont,
Wyatt, Ann and I got to visit The Bread and Puppet together...
it was a wonderful day filled with laughter, joking and fun
all presenting varied messages of politics and social issues...
the energy of the performers was magical
all coming together, each summer, to participate in this grand venture
continuing on since the 60's in NYC...
if you are ever near Glover, VT on a Sunday in July/August
give it a shot...
you'll leave with a warm glow and a smile on your face...
