the beginning of a new wall piece [painting]...this is the underpainting phase

today begins the building up of the crust...

some bold color here...

getting close to the finish line...

continuation of the crust buildup...

building the crust one day at a time...

a surface closeup to show the developing surface of the painting

and the "growth of the crust"...

this is the beginning of the piece I'm working on now in my mini "studio apartment"

limited by the room it is a smaller scale for me......41in.H x 36 inW

many more layers of crust and growth to go but it's a start and

I'm liking it and liking being able to work after a very long and troubled year...

wish me luck on this...I'm very hopeful but as someone once said

"the only pain for an artist worse than not working is working"
