returned from a long trip to Delaware
to less snow and ice...
took Wyatt to the falls, to see the spring run
we climbed up top, over ice, to feel the mist and thunder of the water...
then closed our eyes and imagined this iron saturated granite,
in many thousands of years, resting peacefully downstream,
in a quiet eddy................ as clay......... just clay...
awaiting the anxious shovel of a potter and new creation...
to less snow and ice...
took Wyatt to the falls, to see the spring run
we climbed up top, over ice, to feel the mist and thunder of the water...
then closed our eyes and imagined this iron saturated granite,
in many thousands of years, resting peacefully downstream,
in a quiet eddy................ as clay......... just clay...
awaiting the anxious shovel of a potter and new creation...
really, dad, he said???
yes, Wyatt, really...
