the eclipse last night was beautiful
most especially, because my 11 year old son Wyatt was watching with me...
snuggled into my jacket to ward off the cold of the air...
it was his first eclipse
we pretended we were cavemen seeing the moon change for the first time
imagining what that would be like...
how it might seem, those many years ago, seeing this with no prior knowledge of such an event...
the coyotes howled, shooting stars floated by
and we experienced the magic of things
together, right here in our front yard...
