with fingers crossed and incense burning
this piece was loaded yesterday into the kiln and is firing now
for it's first coat of glaze...
after 2 years of trying, I finally thought I had a good system for firing these pieces
but as ceramics seems inevitably to do
it's giving me fits recently...giant pinholing and peeling , suddenly, out of nowhere...
I'm hopeful, but one never knows with clay work...
people forget when expecting clay work to be cheap
that you also pay a bit for all the failure and experimentation...
don't you, shouldn't you...
imagine if we potters charged like drug companies...
Jesus... we'd all be millionaires...
#TheRoadToDemarest
wish me luck...
