the sun is up and the day of the tour has come...
blue skies and the hope for a fine day today
little more prep to do outside
and some almond /apricot soda bread to make for any sweet tooth visitors...
wishing all on the tour a great day with many visitors!

Maine Pottery Tour

one more day before the Maine Pottery Tour...
hope you all have your maps and some excitement...
bread is rising, dips and spreads to be made this afternoon...
even the grass turned green... in a day,
just in time!

Maine Pottery Tour

preparing for the Maine Pottery Tour this weekend...
the gallery is set, but the studio is in need of serious cleaning...
a process delayed by inertia, procrastination and my bum leg...
a few days left, with time for some nice snacks to make...
thinking some home made bread, good dips and spreads
and a few other things on the side...
to be fancy or not to be fancy... that is the question...
can't forget the beverages of course!

Small's Falls

returned from a long trip to Delaware
to less snow and ice...
took Wyatt to the falls, to see the spring run
we climbed up top, over ice, to feel the mist and thunder of the water...
then closed our eyes and imagined this iron saturated granite,
in many thousands of years, resting peacefully downstream,
in a quiet eddy................ as clay......... just clay...
awaiting the anxious shovel of a potter and new creation...

really, dad, he said???
yes, Wyatt, really...

Spiral Teapot

with the Maine Pottery Tour coming up, May 3-4
I'm thinking of the functional side of things...
Survival Island will be filled with serving and drinking items...
stop in and visit everyone on the map...
a great time will be had by all...
